Updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Launched at Rs 1.60 Lakh with Ride Modes, TFT & Traction Control
Bajaj Auto has launched the updated Pulsar NS200 in India at Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom), packing the naked streetfighter with a raft of electronics that were previously reserved for bigger, more expensive bikes.
What’s new
- Electronic throttle-by-wire (ETB) — for smoother, more precise throttle response.
- Ride modes — switchable engine maps to tailor power delivery.
- Traction control — added safety on slippery or wet roads.
- 5-inch TFT display — a full-colour dash with Google Maps mirroring for turn-by-turn navigation.
- +1hp more power — a small bump in peak output over the outgoing model.
Why it matters
The NS200 has long been a favourite for riders wanting a sporty, affordable naked bike. With this update, Bajaj brings segment-leading electronics — traction control and a TFT dash with navigation — down to a price point where they were previously unheard of. That makes the NS200 a strong value proposition against rivals in the 200cc space.
The core recipe stays familiar: the same liquid-cooled 199.5cc engine, sharp handling and aggressive Pulsar styling, now wrapped in a more tech-laden package. For buyers, it means more features, more safety and more convenience without a big jump in price.
