The Suzuki GSX-S950 is based on the recently revamped 2021 GSX-S1000, although with changes to suit A2-license restrictions.
It uses a 999cc, inline-four cylinder engine like the GSX-S1000 although with a different state of tune. The motor has been restricted to produce 47bhp to comply with the license norms. Although, once the learner riders get hold of their full unrestricted license, the GSX-S950 can be de-restricted to churn out 94bhp.
Besides the retuned engine, Suzuki has equipped the GSX-S950 with mid-spec KYB forks non-adjustable forks and cost-effective Tokico braking hardware.
Nonetheless, the rest of the package from the GSX-S1000 has been retained and includes Dunlop Sportmax tyres, a traction control system, ride-by-wire throtlle as well a low RPM assist function.
Suzuki is offering the GSX-S950 in three colours. There is the Metallic Matt Black and Metallic Triton Blue, just like the GSX-S1000. Although, the Pearl Brilliant White that features Red on the belly pan and tail differentiates the GSX-S950.
This motorcycle is expected to reach international dealerships in the next couple of months but as we mentioned earlier, will not be launched in India. Instead, we can expect to get the GSX-S1000 by the end of 2021. UPCOMINGOCT 2021
