Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and experts of the global oil and gas sector via video conferencing at 6 pm on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Dr. Igor Sechin, President and CEO of Rosneft Russia, and Chairman and CEO of Saudi Aramco, among others.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that the main theme of this conversation is to promote clean development and sustainability. During this, discussions were held on areas like promoting exploration and production in hydrocarbon sector in India, energy self-sufficiency, gas based economy, emission reduction through clean and energy efficient solutions, green hydrogen economy and increasing biofuel production.
